Cool story. I seriously had a hard time finding the one question in that wall of info. Check out simcraft for benchmark purposes.

I am doing 15k DPS as a lvl85 Destro Lock on average with (6/4/31) talent with 378 PVE gear. I have one trinket that is 346 and the rest of the gear is 378 or higher. I run with the imp.
Jeffryn @ Moonrunner - Game Guide - World of Warcraft
I am doing slightly better DPS than a more experienced lvl85 Destro lock with lvl346 PvP gear. He can do 34k DPS as an arcane mage and is extremely good raider, and is around 12-14k DPS with his lock. The only BiS gear I have are my boots, so I have avoided enchantments. My guildy is thinking that I should be doing 18k on the dummy on average with this my toon. I can only hit 18k on rare occasion, not average.
Enchants: None
Prime Glyphs: Imp, Conflag, Immolate
Here is my rotation:
1) Immolate - refresh as needed
2) Corruption - refresh as needed
3) Conflag - refresh as needed
4) Incinerate - whack, whack, whack
5) Bane of Doom - refresh as needed
6) Curse of Elements - refresh as needed
Haste: 18.07%
Hit: 16.57%
Crit: 15.59%
Do I need to mod to get more hit and less haste? My Mastery is 12% and I have no idea what it does.
I'll hit soul fire and improved soul fire but they eat the mana. In Raid, I keep Dark Intent on the tank, Fel Armor, Shadow Ward, Soul Link, Demon Soul, and Blood Pact active and reactivating on cool down.
I may experiment with running Demon Soul first in the rotation.
On some occasions, I can get a run of Improved Soul Fire and play it out, but the DPS doesn't improve. If I try to start with Improved Soul fire, I tend to run out of mana early.
I leveled with Demonology but saw lots of people going destro in Raids. I never did Destro leveling. I've been playing for about 8 months.
