Yes, it takes a lot of haste to get to the gcd cap, maybe it's impossible to reach. So what? There's nothing magical about it. As an enhance shaman you don't gain anything special, and you don't lose anything either. It's just a number.
Haste is good for reasons that have already been explained in the thread. If you don't believe those reasons you can do your own work to prove everyone else wrong. You're not allowed to tell other people they're wrong just because it doesn't feel right to you though. We use math or sims to make decisions, not feelings or guesses.

21150 haste to get to 1 sec gcd? Is that possible with Mastery needed too? Or is my math wrong? Haste looks good for lots of our spells, and I know it is more important than it was, but we get no regen or anything from it. Does that not lower it below Mastery?
Not played on PTR so I am lost on this.
