I am moving this out as you state "I like haste" with nothing to support this other than "I saw some sims showing it is better". Please feel free to post this assertion again with supporting evidence but without that it is akin to my saying "I like yellow and red gear it does more dps because I saw some sims that said so."

I am seeing the same in simulations of most kinds of bosses, and have decided to go for stacking Haste, even sacrificing Crit for plenty of it. So far, the results have been very favorable, makes the spec feel a tad less clunky too.
Gear with Haste being a rare sight, it might be a good idea to start looking for pieces with Haste on them natively. Preferably Haste / Hit or Exp, and as a second priority Haste / Crit.
