More data, fewer unsubstantiated anecdotes, please. Your post tells us nothing about the relative efficacy of the various glyphs whatsoever. It's great that you're having more fun and doing more damage, but it doesn't contribute anything useful to us unless you back it up - it's possible you're just better at fire than at arcane.

I was running Arcane until this weekend and my primary solo/Heroic glyphs were:
Mana Gem
Slow
Arcane Power
I also switched Slow to Arcane Explosion depending on the heroic and whether it's AE heavy or not. Still haven't found a great use for Arcane in Heroics though.
Switched to Fire on Friday and immediately found it more effective, I no longer needed to watch my mana bar as much so I was able to concentrate on the mechanics and actually enjoying the game again. DPS also went up by around 30% on single target fights with the same gear.
Running Fire with Combustion, Fire Blast and Evocation.
