While your comment on clarifying SP and Int is valid, your comment on gemming is not. Not only is it better to sim it to see what gems are best for a given character's gearing, it also fails to take into account the fact that gem secondary stats are budgeted differently than primary stats are, starting in this expansion. Gemming straight Int is no longer a universal best practice.

For the stats priority, I would add spell power before hit. Spell Power is the main stats for dealing damage ( it derives from intellect ). Therefore, Gemming for pure intellect might be better than Crit.
