We don't do personal gear advice, sorry. That said,

1. Run both setups through the sim and see which one performs better.

2. Only reduce the expertise cap to 6.5 if your relevant weapon is in your main hand. (And unless you're a tank and attacking from the front, it's a hard cap, not a soft cap.)

I am a human, with a 489 1h axe [Elegion, the Fanged Crescent] and 463 1h sword [Amber Espada of Klaxxi'vess].
I have two questions regarding DW:

1) Which weapon should go on the mainhand and which on the offhand? My instincts tell me the stronger weapon goes to Mainhand, but the main post's explanation regarding Runeforging suggests the opposite. Also, expertise now translates to spell-hit, and the human racial bonus is given only if the sword is on mainhand.

2) As a human, I get a 1% expertise bonus only to my sword, and not the axe. I would expect this to change my expertise stat weights - probably a sort of softest-cap at 6.5%, and then the usual 7.5% soft cap. What stat weights should I be using for this?
