At least try some of the other threads before you post you own version of 'Fist spec or daggers on Patchwerk?'.

First off: I browsed through the forum and searched for a similar topic, but did not find anything. Sorry if I should have overlooked something.
I am thinking about whether I should get the new arena dagger or the new arena sword.
My guild will start raiding ssc soon. So I will choose my new weapon and spec for that instance.
As a common thing dagger combat does more damage, if you can stand behind the mob and backstab all fight long. If you spend a lot of time running out of aoe, the boss is turning a lot or similar things you lose a lot of damage, spamming ss/shiv and trying to somehow get behind the boss again. Then you would do more damage with swords.
I’ve played both dagger combat and sword combat in classic wow and I felt like daggers where the better choice for bwl and maybe for mc, while swords did better in aq20 and zg. Aq40… well aq40 wasn’t built for rogues
So my question is: what is the better weapon choice for ssc? How static are the encounters in ssc? Static enough to backstab like 99% of the time? Or are they very hectic, so you end up doing more damage with swords?
Tanks in advance for any helpful comments from experienced rogues.
(I am not interested in the trash mobs too much, since usually it’s the boss fights were you need the dps. A quick statement about trash would be nice anyway)
