prebc i was ret but postbc i have become holy because it was the only useful spec to raid with to get into t4.
my guild has currently been on vashj for a week or so our best attempt has been about 25% or so. we currently only have reaver down in the eye but i have a feeling that once vashj drops we'll be on kael within a week.
so i currently have like no ret gear but i will be getting ret t4 in the next week or 2. considering that the top 5 dpsers in my guild have 3 pieces of t5 already will me going ret be completely useless since ill be so vastly outgeared. i spent all my dkp getting healing gear so i doubt ill catch them in gear for a month or so.
also a big question that mr T hit on. i have thunder will be getting deep thunder when i decide to go ret. basically no one in my guild needs nether vortexes so i will have the option to make stormherald the day i make deep thunder. should i just stick with deep thunder until the threat issues for us get fixed? i recall him saying that he actually did more dps in deep thunder than stormherald because of the insane threat he generates now.
so my biggest question is "will i do reasonable dps in t4 compared to dps classes in my guild in t5. or is ret so gear dependent that it requires being equally geared as the top dpser in the guild to even compare."
