i frankly dont see how a UA warlock/spriest group is somehow a 'cheese 2v2' group when they play the same strategy as any other dual dps group zerg rushdown strat as any other group. in fact in their case they have to do it even better since a shadow priest runs out of mana as dps faster than any other mana based dps group. because dotting is somehow less skillfull than landing icelance/fireblast on a frozen target or MS WW etc..?

no one puts on frost resist gear in 2v2 arena, because quite frankly mages aren't contenders at the top of 2v2 arena. in addition dots get doubly affected by SR, frost resist gear is not nearly the same. in addition if someone wears frost resist gear, a mage can still CC, it gimps your gear for no real reason other than stopping a myriad of attacks which are not all that dangerous to begin with.

as opposed to wearing SR gear, which prevents you from getting CC'd, dispel magic'd, spell locked, dps'd, avoiding the few defensive moves that warlock/spriests have etc....

VERY DIFFERENT.

if a mage thinks that 'stacking a little more penetration is not a big deal' then why do i never see mages kill my felhunter? you'd think this would be easy since you can so 'easily' stack that penetration gear. SR gear is not 'hard to collect'. 10 gold worth of greens at the AH lets a warrior gear himself to more than 250 SR with a pally SR aura while wearing nearly full gladiator/epic weapon. i hardly see how this is fair.
