Alright. Ive thought about this for quite long now.
What would be a good spec on mage that would work BOTH on PvE and PvP enviroments?
With my ~200 resilience 9k hp and AP Fire build~ im like a morning snack to hardly any dps. Yes of course i understand firebuild is based on dps but as im getting on 1700++ ratings the other team isnt weak enough that I could anyhow burst anyone down. So that concluded that most all pvp mages need ICEBLOCK!
Ive tried 17 / 0 / 44 build which is really nice on pvp, but the problem is that my raid capasity is nearly zero, I dont have that much mana to dps in long boss battles.
Idea of arcane frost (40 /0 / 21) kinda feels like big no no for pvp cause i wouldnt have shatter then. (Perhaps with that i shoud start getting massive crit like ap-fire?).
Also elemental build was in my mind for a while (combustion + iceblock or blast wave + ice barrier specs) but i kinda kicked that out of my mind since it has no boost on your mana (ofc u could take master of elements + frost channeling) but then i wouldnt get enough points on dps (atleast in my opinion). BTW, someone tell me whats the main idea of blast wave + icebarrier build: Shoud u like take imp scorch and winters chill and alot mana so u can start stacking those debuffs on others and do the main dmg on instants? Sounds good on pvp yeah, but how the hell can u dps in raids then?
These are the things i need answer:
1) Please tell me your suggestion of a good mage build that works on pve AND pvp, and please tell me why it works
2) Tell about gear that matches that build (like shoud i get spell hit, spell crit, full spelldmg, spell penetration, total managear)
3) and last, if u have any good suggestions, please tell me what classes would work with them on arena (like 2v2 or 3v3)
