I am not certain where to post this as it deals with Cheeky's spreadsheet, Hunter Help, and BM Hunter raiding so I will go with them all. I hope this doesn't get me in trouble.
First off let me state I use Cheeky's spreadsheet extensively and very much appreciate him taking the time to put together a spectacular tool (been using it since around revision 17 or so I think). I am stuck at the point were I may be considering going after a DST.
I currently use the Sunfire bow (2.9 spd), I have the Wolfslayer but never was able to show the actual gains from using the faster weapon in blasted lands and I hate the gun animation and I noise I have to admit. An example WWS is given below, this one for Lurker:
1193 dps on Lurker (Scorpion)
Fola - WWS
1099 dps on Gruul (Ravager)
Fola - WWS
Using version 27 of the spreadsheet and replacing the hourglass with DST along with taking 4 points out of improved aspect of the hawk I pickup ~95 dps. If that truly is the dps increase I will definitely wait for it to drop. My struggle is with that being the actual value.
2.1 speed (15% static quiver and 20% serpent swiftness)
2.1 speed/1.3092 (dragonspine haste effect) = 1.604 spd
I use a 1:1 Rotation, Steady/Auto with KC (double macro setup)
Here is where I get a little leery, when I start plugging points into Imp Aspect of the Hawk what concerns me is having them both up at the same time leading to bad clobbering at unpredictable times.
If both up:
1 point in Imp Aspect of the Hawk: 1.604/1.03 = 1.557
2 points in Imp Aspect of the Hawk: 1.604/1.06 = 1.513
3 points in Imp Aspect of the Hawk: 1.604/1.09 = 1.472
4 points in Imp Aspect of the Hawk: 1.604/1.12 = 1.432
5 points in Imp Aspect of the Hawk: 1.604/1.15 = 1.395
The spreadsheet does show diminishing returns
0 talent points to 1 = 37 dps gain
1 talent point to 2 = 21 dps gain
2 talent points to 3 = 13 dps gain
3 talent points to 4 = 6 dps gain
4 talent points to 5 = 6 dps gain
My question is thus: Is the reduced gain of the imp aspect of the hawk talent points due to clobbering? Is the clobbering modeled?
If not the trinket is still a 53 dps gain over previous builds using 5/5 imp hawk and taking it to 0/5 imp hawk (leaving attack speed at 1.604 which I can handle with my ping).
Looking at it the max I would go would then be 2 points in Imp Aspect of the Hawk and deal with a little clipping to pickup 58 more dps on top of the 53 dps gain from the trinket alone. I am just trying to get some discussion that I should focus very hard on getting the trinket over any other upgrade as it is a 111 dps upgrade much larger than any single slot ever will be again.
Thanks for taking the time to read this long babble and thanks in advance for any discussion and help you can provide.
