WoW is a hobby. Addon development even more so.
You can't expect anyone to develop anything that works for you, unless you pay them to do so.
Ofc everyone wants their addons to be fast, bug free, always up to date and feature rich. Everyone wants everything to be like that.
Every now and again my addons are fubared after updating. Thats life. I revert to some older version and go with that. Ofc it would be nice to have a stable branch what i could update with but i wouldn't want to to QA for that and i doubt there's to many developers who're into that.
Backup before updating and you'll be 90% pain free.
Or pay someone to do the testing.
