If you look at the patch notes you'll see that conditional macros got a massive performance tunning.
This involved moving all the logic that handles the conditionals from LUA script to native C++ code. A side effect is that the default string matching is now case sensitive.
Case insensitive matching is slightly faster than case insensitive. It may not be much, but if you have a ton of conditionals being updated everytime a frame is drawn, it all adds up.
Dunno about you, but I don't mind making sure I type stuff in the correct case if it means getting better performance.

Well as i agree , it wouldnt hurt them to mention it in the patchnotes? because i spent 30mins asking around and honestly i wouldnt ever a lower case
