I can't speak on the legitimacy of whatever mechanic is being debated, but I don't see anyone "yelling and screaming" via forum posting about this issue, and you come closer to it than anyone else in that thread.

Also, GM's are consistently inconsistent and really shouldn't be cited as a source of knowledge regarding game mechanics.

It is REPORTEDLY a bug, if a GM tells me that am I supposed to ignore it and just act like it never happened because you don't agree with it? The only people sounding desperate here are the people spouting off 1800+ DPS reports looking for reasons to say it's not a bug and chastising anyone who thinks it is. We all took complete advantage of rolling ignites and understandably so, the mechanic was entirely broken and overpowered... any respectable mage would have admitted it regardless of whether or not they took advantage of it. It's one thing to take advantage of something regardless of whether it is intended or not ... it's another thing to yell and scream at anyone who mentions the thought of it being taken away from you. Give it up.
