You heard it here first, the felhunter is the anti-everything pet (only a warlock..) The voidwalker and felguard are not particularly easy to kill either. If the pet was designed purely to allow for the existence of the soullink spec in pvp then it does have other replacements. Indeed some successful warlocks have gained notoriety from using alternative pets.

I suppose you are aware that warlocks are a pet class. That if you could kill the pet of a soullinked warlock so easily then the whole spec is rendered useless and you get a free kill every time? ( no pet = -200 speldmg, 5% dps, 20% absorb etc etc). There is a reason you never see any other pet in arena and thats not because the fel is soooo good, thats because other pets just blow. A succubus would live 5seconds, imp/vw are useless and the felguard only has some use in 5vs5 ( and then I don't like that spec because of the pilar dancing).

You seem to be contradicting yourself somewhat. On what hand you claim that the felhunter is merely there to allow for the spec benefits, and on the other hand you claim that it is only there because the other pets are bad. As i have already pointed out, there are alternatives to the felhunter if you play soullink and just need a pet to stay alive. The real reason people use it is because it is far more powerful in its own right than the other pets. The other pets all are relatively balanced, with advantages and weaknesses (a strange concept to a warlock i realise). The felhunter has no weakness.

Its too easy to deal with a felhunter in 2vs2 or 3vs3 ( if the pet stopping your healer from drinking is your problem that is because otherwise I don't see whys you would be hitting a pet that does maybe 60 dps and dispells you). Like harmstringing the pet so your healer can go drink ?

If it was too easy to deal with one then I don't see why this thread would exist. The dps of the felhunter was never in question, you are trying to skirt the issue. What does a team do without hamstring? Any other slow can be removed. And why should a team devote such time to controlling a PET? The problem is that while a hunter can attempt the same trick, his pets are easier to kill and have far less utility (which makes no sense either).

The dog doesn't need a nerf, otherwise we have 0 usefull pets left for pvp. Felguard isn't even ok as it ll get owned by any good team and in lower brackets it can't heal itself like the fel.

I recall Tiz winning a certain 5v5 tournament with a felguard. He isn't bad at 3v3 either.. For such a useless pet, it stayed alive the whole fight and actually did some nice damage. You would think that blizzard putting felguard at 41 points after soul link kinda intended that the two should go together. Why should a pet heal itself? Do hunter pets do that? Just get your healer to heal it and watch the other team waste their time attacking a PET. It is quite unbelievable how deluded some warlocks have become (usually the rerollers). Now you expect your pets to be as strong as felhunters? Sorry but this is one of the most clueless threads i have read on here, and i used to regard this forum as being home to knowledgable players.
