This is off-topic and contributes nothing to the discussion, and in fact led to a significant derail. The OP was not subtle or generic. It asked a very specific question about how to deal with a very specific issue. It has nothing whatsoever to do with mid-tier guilds having time to "catch up." There are a dozen other threads in which to discuss that.

That said, you're not going to find much sympathy from people still slogging through T4-T5 content, and that's the majority of raiders at the moment.

As someone 'slogging' through T5 at the moment (4/6, 2/4), we're anticipating killing Illidan before Sunwell is released. We're dropping a boss a week on average - although knowing that we'll hit a road block at Vashj/KT - but I can't see us not being 4/5 + 4/9 or so by the end of the calendar year. As Gurg already mentioned, I expect that 2.4 will be Q1 2008 - February strikes me as likely.
I think it's nice to see mid-range guilds given an opportunity to 'catch up', personally - obviously, a perspective issue.
