wondering if i should be healing differently.

i am speced 23-38

under dis i have unbreakable will, silent resolve, imp fort, inner focus, meditation, mental agility, imp spirit.
under holy i have healing focus, imp renew, holy specialization, divine fury, blessed recovery 1/3, inspiration, imp healing, healing prayers, s.o.r, spritual guidance, spiritual healing, holy concentration

in down ranking i have rank 4 for flash heal, downranking for great heal i have rank 1

my gear is

whitemend hood with +9+3sd+2mp5, +9+3sd+4int, +18+6sd, with +35 healing +12 sd +7mp5
necklace of eternal hope
primal mooncloth shoulders +33+4mana regen
stainless cloak of pure hearted with subtlety (since i dont know what else to put)
i just replaced my primal mooncloth robe to Robes of HEavenly purpose +6mp5, +9+3sp+4int, +9+3sp+2mp5, +9+3spd+2mp5

so i have bonus healing 2052, spirit 353, mana regen 367, 295 stamina, 446 intellect

ok so i am trying to get tier 5 pieces, im on dkp. no luck with drops yet

i use elixir of healing power, superior mana oil, super mana pots, elixir of major mageblood, i do have flask of mighty restoration but then i cant use healing power (so if you have a certain opinion which to use let me know) i did read that you use blackened sporefish or golden fish sticks which next raiding night ill get.

my question is, i am using flash rank 9 to top up on anyone's health and at times ill use the greater heal rank 7. through fights i try and time the hits the tanks get so i hit my flash before. and when i see his health almost hitting mid ill hit the greater heal. and at times ill stop my heals if tanks are full. i do use renews on tanks at all times and ill use em on others in teh raid, i do use prayer of mending on tanks as well. i did learn from reading in here that you put a shield and hit prayer of mending which ya i thought if u used the shield that it wasnt good for tanks but now ill do that for boss pulls. (when shoudl i keep using the shield on boss fights? like should i use it only if tank is in trouble or if we have to move around?) i rarely use the shield on tanks, most of the times if i see someoen else in trouble ill throw it on them.

should i try and use the down ranks on flash that i have to top peopel off to save on mana? im afraid that if i do this that i will not look good on the healing charts that im not doing my job. or i am also afraid that they wont get much of heals off these down ranked heals. im wondering if i should even bother using down ranks since i dont mind to use the mana pots. is there other ways that i should be healing? besides using flash?? im wondering which way is the best way to heal tanks during fights in ssc, tk and others in raids? i find that damn pallys are always at top but i dont want to look bad. i know my heals would be better when i get teir5. yes others are a bit more geared than myself.

ive always used flash heal because i was told thats what i should use cause its teh fastest way to heal someone. i know it eats yoru mana but what else can i do?

do i just keep doing what im doing? no one in my guild has said anything and they say that im good. but we are having discusions on speccing right for the right fights so thats why i came on here. someone posted this site in our guild forum. so i thought i might as well come on here to see if i shoudl spec any different? i specced that way because of many inputs from so many others that i have met during my gaming time. i have imp spirit to help the raid out. im wondering if i shoudl be specced all holy to be a better healer? or should i stay the way i am.

what do you think? i want to be a good healer for my guild in raids. only thing is im wondering if i should be using somethign else than flash? im afraid to use others incase ill look really bad on healing meters. we are working on vash right now. so ive been using my flash on teh peopel i have to heal on teh stairs and i use renews and shield myself. the way i have been healing has been working but im wondering is there something i can do better? im not so good at calculations on gear which you guys are. but i do know that im doing the right thing with gear, im always asking which i should get.

well im sorry if this post was really long, but i just had to ask. at times i did try looking up speccing the right way and so far ive chosen how i am now lol. just wanted to see what anyoen thinks and hopefully i dont come off as a complete idiot.
