And can I ask why your guild would allow a level 68 warlock on their raids?

trying to figure out our problem.

our guild uses a different strat.

positioning is as follows.

healers are all in one group. they stand on the ramp of the tower that is near the town when you get to the bottom of the hill. this is to avoid doomfires for healers.

MT is tanked just in range of those healers.

ranged group 1 is down near the well where you can run up the root when avoiding doomfires.

ranged group 2 is at the opposite tree near the mountain.

ranged group 3 is between group 1 and healers

melee group is of course on melee.

all groups are stacked. they say to do this because when airburst happens, the decurser for the group gets thrown away with the group just in case a curse happens and they wont be out of range.

fear ward is on MT at all times because MT doesnt want to stance dance as much as possible because he hits hard and he cannot time berserker rage (not quick enough to do it in the 1 second he casts?)

from what i hear on vent:

people die from airburst because people get thrown into the mountain (and thus a wall which sends them straight down instead of the arc) and screws up their timing, or airburst into a tree and blocks their view.

doomfires still hitting people as it seems to be going all over the place.

healing is not an issue. healers on ramp dont deal with doomfires, so can keep MT up pretty easy.

we die from Finger of Death, which MT says is because we get aggro (could swear its from no one being in Melee Range, as explained everywhere else). the pull is normally us in our positions. tank mounts and aggros him and runs back to tank position.

yet, our best attempt is 61%. 80% of our wipes comes at >95% because of fingers, doomfires.

i do not have a WWS at the moment. will try and get one soon.

edit:

group makeup

3 shamans, 2 of them going to ranged groups, 1 on healing group
decurser for every group.
1 group healer for the ranged group.
i believe 1 ranged group also heals melee.

pros:

easy healing, healers dont have to worry about doomfires.
decursing is not an issue, even on airburst

cons:

groups clumped = more stress on group healers as everyone takes airburst
doomfires seems to not be spread out as much as if you were tanking him where he spawns.
harder time doing tears as dealing with the nature around them (trees, mountain wall,etc)
airburst groups near well can easily be thrown into the well
