I think you're grossly overestimating the "effort" put into this contribution of yours.

I think you guys are grossly overestimating the "effort" developers are putting into this change. All they really did was change a "0.8" to "1.4" somewhere in the code. From what I've seen in the past years they've totally stopped "developing" and are only doing some quick "fixes" to keep the community content.
