The history of the addon is that I got tired of the significant downtime we had when no one was marking packs in a timely fashion and almost worse, when people was marking but using inconsistent marks. The other benefit is that as of the 2.4 patch, it will also auto-learn what crowd control methods work based on successful spell casts.

The syncing works but there's definitely some issues related to it overall - don't expect perfect behavior if two people mark packs at exactly the same time. However if you use a rogue to mark stuff in say the pre-Shahraz packs, I'll properly get these marks in my addon and won't clobber them.

As a bonus feature I have an uncomplete "raid mark template" option that put marks on decursers, shamans or both (we use the last for Archimonde). I also a simple "take a snapshot of the icons of the raid" and "load snapshot" which I use on Illidan (set up marks for phase 2 groups, but keep them off except during phase 2 to allow the parasite skull to be properly placed).
