Original Post:

I have been getting alot of information fed into me from various mages, hell even destruction warlocks, so what I am trying to do now is wade through what is relevant information and what is personal opinions and bs fantasies <ex. OMG DUDE GET HASTE U WILL LYK DO 3K DPS WITH ARCANE BLAST>. I just recently hit 70 on my mage, which is my alt, but I would like to make this character my main in Wotlk and possibly before the end of TBC. Right now as far as gear options go, I am gearing up to run za, I only hit 70 about 3 weeks ago so from Kara/heroics/badge loot I'm only doing around 910 dps raid buffed. Everyone is telling me to go arcane frost 40-0-21, but correct me if I'm wrong, you guys are saying you need 2/5 T5 before you can spec arcane/frost? My guild would never let me bring my alt into SSC/TK as I am not an officer and only they get to do that, so this toon will never see T5. Here is my armory link, tell me what spec you would go progressing forward keeping in mind the majority of raiding I will do will be 10 mans, and occasional gruul/mags runs: The World of Warcraft Armory
So with the information I have provided in mind, would you suggest going arcane/frost and having an AB spam with frostbolts rotation, or would you suggest staying full frost until I have more spell dmg and crit? Thanks for the help everyone, I'm new to the mage game but can already tell I'm going to enjoy the class.
