This specc gets me to top 5 atleast and on many fights second or sometimes first on dps (thinking archimonde for example) the only disadvantage is the use of AotH... thats also why i dont have Imp. AotH, because any haste, be it the proc OR heroism, gimps my dps, even if I switch to 1:1 rotation. This does make me seriously bleed mana, but using AotV, I don't go OOM on any fights, AotH is only used on short fights or when I have a resto shaman in my group or on the rare occasion, a shadowpriest

I strongly disagree that proc'd haste buffs will decrease a MM hunters DPS. With IAotH you can still fire <Auto-Steady-Arcane-Auto>, you just have to adjust your timing on the fly. With Heroism, Rapid fire, or if you have multiple haste buffs up (drums+IAotH), a 1:1 rotation will not gimp your dps. You may not be able to spam ur macro for the best dps, but I have never felt MM required shot rotation macros anyway. As far as not using aspect of the hawk as MM, you need to figure out ways to keep ur mana up without viper. Between mana oil, mana spring totem, judement of wisdom, fel mana pots, there shouldnt be any reason you need to use viper.

edit: I didn't check that spec ur running with til just now, without improved multishot you are neglecting the main dps shot MM uses, which could explain why haste doesnt benefit you as much.
