Next time, take the time to read the thread. This has been discussed extensively.

Original Post:

I've been wondering something for quite some time about haste vs dmg. Assuming we choose not to have flame shock in a spell rotation (for simplicity's sake), since elemental shaman dps is centered around chain lightning's cooldown, it would make sense that stacking haste until you can throw an extra lightning bolt in between chain lightnings is a huge dps increase. However, after you reach that point, how should haste be valued compared to spell damage before you reach the next bench mark? (And for that matter, would it be better to just drop CL at some point) Obviously it would still be advantageous to have more spell haste, but should you keep gemming for it etc? This might not even be important to consider for maximum dps potential - and it all changes when you throw in shocks. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on this! I haven't been elemental for some time, but I'm still curious.
(PS, I am so sorry if something of this has already been posted in this thread, I haven't had the time to read all of the pages!!!)
