PVP is unquestionably in a very, very bad spot. I don't see any viability for most rets past 1800 without the promised "fixes" we're supposed to be getting, like mana burn defense and our mysterious utility move. There's any number of threads that will back this up. Ret's gonna suck at 80 Arena until we get those promises fulfilled. I can only pray that they won't be something stupid and hamfisted like the Aimed Shot MS application that never got used in arenas anyway.

EDIT: I hate wishlisting because it feels like a waste of time, but personally (even though I would have given both of my kidneys and someone else's for a spell interrupt a thousand times in my arenas as ret) I'm not looking forward to the necessary inclusion of Intercept, Pummel, or Mortal Strike in our already warrior-cloned class. I'd rather see an ability that parallels Death Knights, with a decisively light-sided twist. Such as turning enemy heals into heals (or mana) for ourselves, like DK's little corruption abilities. That would be pretty fun in my little world.

EDIT EDIT: Ooh ooh! In fact, it would be TERRIFICALLY badass if we got a Gift of the Doomsayer / Transferrence spell like 3rd boss of Arc and those ethereals in Kara. Hamper it with cooldown, mana cost, effect, and talent placement if you like, but it would add a very fresh dimension to ret PVP.
