yes, rare gems can raise the item value by quite an amount, exp. if you don't force socket colors and use the uncapped EP values
2 sockets = 2 +hit rare gems = 32 (or 36 if the gem is perfect) * hit EP.
what sucks about those trinkets (exp. on the Owl one) are the on-use abilities (assuming you don't have mana issues) and I don't know if those sites take em into account.

I've noticed the Glyph section needs an update as well (I guess the best combination is SS+WF+LL but I'm curious about ES and LS viability). Cheers and keep up the great work.
