It seems to me that itemization should of course be related to your playstyle and spec. I notice the two druids who were resto throughout BC use far more of Swiftmend and Lifebloom than I do, those being their primary spells. They also pass on crit gear.
I took the leftover gear with crit on it, so then I specced out for Regrowth to try it. I cast Nourish first on a low target (only one of us is using that spell), then Regrowth, since my Regrowth is 75% crit right now. Problem with that is, whenever it doesn't crit, I'm thrown off tempo, lol, thinking to myself that the heal missed. Also, Living Seed seems not to proc enough to match my crits, which is unfortunate. Anyone confirm that the rate is off? Regrowth is great situationally, but I find myself using the faster cast, Nourish, far more often. I'd stack haste but I hear all sorts of things, good and bad about it, so idk. I'm uncertain about choices, when faced over & over with crit vs haste. What are the exact benefits of haste, per spell?
For example, if I have Nature's Splendor, to increase the duration of Regrowth & Rejuv, it leads to these questions:
- Is the heal value of each tick lessened by this talent? Do I get more ticks, but for the same overall healing total?
- If I add haste on my gear, does it move the ticks closer together, thereby creating more ticks? Or does it lessen the entire cycle length back down to what it was originally? Does it compress more ticks into the same amount of time?
- Do the ticks of Regrowth crit? Or does Living Seed only go on the first cast? (I'd guess only the first cast, since other HoTs don't show any crits for me in web stats.) That would cut the effectiveness of Living Seed on this spell by half, as opposed to the other direct heals.
My heals are approx: Wild Growth 42%, Nourish 28%, Rejuv 22%, with Lifebloom and Regrowth for the rest. The other healers are the opposite, using Lifebloom and Swiftmend as primaries.
Wouldn't all of these questions & your spell choices have some impact on your itemization? Idk, going to go respec now for GotE because I miss it too much. I think I've decided on haste over crit, too, because the Living Seed doesnt look like it's working, to me. OR... maybe not because, theyre adding that 6 sec cooldown on Wild Growth, so what'd be the point of lowering cooldown on 2 spells really, when I only use one. Maybe I'll try adding in Nature's Grace instead, to lower the cast time of Regrowth. Hmmm.
