For a while various hunters said BM would be bad during BC because pets scaled poorly. They were wrong.
The changes affect BM dps far more than marks or SV. In fact, using aimed shot, SV closes the gap significantly between it and the highest dps spec, and could possibly match or even end up top dps but it all depends on the coefficient ExS was buffed to.
Before the changes, hunters were theoretically capable of ~6.8k sustained dps in best-in-slot as BM. The spreadsheet isn't perfect but it's fairly accurate. So, this 6.8k was much higher than almost all classes, and was still higher than FFB mages' theoretical max sustained dps.
Steady shot was insanely good when measured by both DPS and DPM. Blizzard reduced arcane shot's mana so now it's actually better than pre-nerf SS (DPM-wise). With the reduction in mana cost of arcane, aimed shot will be viable in many situations. All 3 specs can substitute those two shots (aimed only for SV) to get a major portion of the damage lost from the SS change, back.
If you're crying that the sky is falling, that hunters will be non-competitive with these changes, you need to get your head on straight. I suspect BM might take it to the knees a little harder than Blizzard intended, but the class as a whole will come out of this fine.
In closing, kindly STFU with the QQ or GTFO.
