Original Post:

I am having a real hard time with mutilate. Everyone tells me how easy it is and how it is the best spec and how they are top dps in their raid. And I read the same thing here.
My guild is doing 10 man Naxx - the raid primarily comprised of Warrior tank, DK off tank, 2 Warlocks, 1 Mage, 1 holy Paladin, 1 holy Priest, 1 ret Paladin, 1 Rogue (me) and a Shaman that is either resto or enhance.
Very rarely am I top 3. Not even on Patchwerk. My hit is not capped, but I am gemming for it. I have all the gear I can get my hands on and I have terrible luck on rolls or drops. I am not fully enchanted yet either, but neither is my raid.
I know the rotations. I start the fight with 3 stacks of Hunger (who came up with the idea of 3 stacks?), SnD, then throw down at least 4 point Rupture and try to get a at least 4 point Envenom. But I can never do that before my SnD's run out. Even if I've been lucky with crits and got a 5 point Envenom off to refresh my SnD, by the next cycle, after Rupture, I do not have time to Envenom, then SnD drops, I have to wait to get that going again and then I am all off with the whole cycle. I just can not get it to work - the combo points just are not coming. I have tried to to everything right. Am I just really that bad of a player? Is it my gear? The fact that my hit is only 292 or something?
I am ready to just go combat, but I have to wait for weapons first.
