Using Fel armor does more than simply give items with spirit a dps increase. All items dps values change with the addition of fel armor because the hit, crit, and haste values become worth more with more spell power. Without knowing exactly what spec, items, etc. you're using, I can't really say whether or not there's a problem with my formulas or not.
