I have to admit, wondering what your keybindings are has kept me up nights lately. It's a good thing you told us.

The G15 is an incredible piece of equipment and if it were within my power, I would make it mandatory for raiders.
Yes, the ability to see who is talking in vent (or who is bombing the server or has an open mike) is huge.
The 18 extra binds from the classic version are VERY worthwhile. I as a protection paladin bind them as follows:
G1: Righteous Fury
G2: BoSa
G3: BoM
G4: (bound to whatever situational channel spam macro I am using at the time)
G5: BoW
G6: BoK (yes, I'm forced to take it)
G7: Salv
G8: BoP
G9: BoF
G10: Divine Plea
G11: (situational)
G12: Divine Protection (Shield Wall)
G13 through G18 are bound to macros to mark mobs with symbols, and place a message in raid chat indicating the symbol has been applied ("%t designated [Mark] by Aestu").
The extra binds' utility is obvious and extremely beneficial.
The keyboard itself is sturdy but the coloring of the keys wears off quickly under the pressure of extended use.
Finally, the greatest benefit conferred by the G15: To suppress the Windows key to avoid an untimely minimize.
