Personally i run rogue/druid, have for 4 seasons now with the same rogue, same gear, he now has a higher PR than me. same wins/losses and gear. however im a druid and am more likely to die earlier in a fight as well as being less active of a participant in terms of kiting/hotting vs lots of casts and offencive play.
holy pallies and rogues seem to pick up a lot of PR, where as locks/priests tend to do poorly. in otherwords it seems like the "good" arena classes are rewarded with higher PRs due to the fact that they perform well not only in general but in each match.
//edit -
in thinking about it further this would help to explain the reason why there were some theories about gear affecting how much PR you gained, a more geared out player in general would live longer and perform better within arenas and as such be granted more PR.

I think I can disprove this. First off, the gear issue; my gear was of higher iLvl than my DK partner's, yet he won more rating than I did. Secondly, over this week's series of games I've started tracking not just wins/losses and changes in rating but also damage, healing and killing blows, and I have already had cases where he gets both kills, higher damage and higher healing than me and cases where the complete opposite happens. In both events the outcome was the same - he got more rating than I did.
