Lots of pointless backstory, and then asking baldly how to DPS better when doing so is explicitly against forum rules.

OK, TYVM. I am really a Firemage at heart but giving Frost a try, and I am kinda liking it. I think I have chosen a good spec, however I may change it a little along the way. I tried just about all the basic specs. I actualy started as a Firemage, becuase I enjoyed the high Damage, but after awhile I was getting bored because by the time I got off 3 shots, the mob was dead from every1 else, and it wasn't because of me or my Gear. I then tried full Arcmage, and that was actualy pretty good, then I started reading up on high DPS DPM etc., because math isn't my thing to calculate what was best myself. By reading I have tried alot of specs and found Frost with meditation was something worth using. I have been doing combinations of this since, and will try a few more before I am done, and i do think I am doing great. I am usualy round the top 3 in DPS and Damage is at around 3 to 6 place in a 25 man. I usualy beat all the mages I have been with, even ones with several Items better then mine.
I am just getting into Naxx, got 3 pieces on my first run TY. I was thinking of trying Fire again at this level, because I really want to be the best I can when I fight with people, however I am now getting confused because I am hearing Arcane and even this Frost would do better by other people. I would like some input on people more experienced like yourselves. I am really looking for the Highest Damage Build I can come up with to be proud of myself, which now I feel good, but every1 keeps telling me I am nothing if I am not Fire. I like the DPS I am doing, and my AOE is great, but the damage I beleave should be better, I am getting confused on which is better, I really would like both to be equal, lol.
I know some will say enjoy what I like the best, but may I say, the best for me, is the Heaviest Hitter I can be. Any input will be welcomed.
