Unfortunately, Frostraiding currently is not as good as it was towards the beginning of BC. They have taken out the "Binary"(unpartially resistable) frostbolts and the extra 3% "ghost" hit, its just not as competetive or buffed as Fire, Arcane or Fire/Frost.
I was just invited into a 25m Nax because I guess they were short on decurses and mages, but I used the the phrase "I got 2500dps on a dummy over 1min", which I did, that got me the invite, and I am also glad the raid leader did not ask specs, but he did ask spellpower which i replied 1400.
Being in Nax(25m or 10m) for the 1st time since BC(we cleared it every week after 2.6), and even as this is the "kara" of LK, I was kind of disappointed how unchanged the instance was, I mean did it really take that much effort in changing it from level 60 to level 80 content? That's beside the point, since being PVE frost I've noticed I was able to survive alot better especcially on Thad, Sapph, and KT. This is where frost shines as you all know.

On Thad I got a 14th on dmg, On Sapph I got 11th on dmg and even outdmged about 3 of the people, (who had survived the whole fight and, might I add had, had mostly nax epics) and I did almost 50% of the decursing (#1) in the raid with 30 decurses :|. while I had outdmged the top mage in the raid ( who had #2 dmg on thad and decursed only a mere 3 times during the sapph fight). And the last mage i remember had also cursed only about 8 times. Sorry forgetting the #dps but i didnt want to deviate so much from the report from my errors in remembering. KT for some reason I cannot recall at all except that I won the crit cloak, and that last mage I was talking about got really mad.

And a little about myself... I turned 80 2 days prior to the raid, I still have 2 greens on , im stacking self buffed 400 haste and have 1400 sp, 11% crit(might have changed from the new cloak). Im undercapped, about 4-5% currently. I did use Brain Freeze. Cd's. WE etc...everytime.
I havent even done a lvl 80 heroic or any other LK 10mans or 25mans and I need to start, as that I will try to find hit,sp,haste, crit upgrades (in that order). Oh ya... gotta putin my FrB glyph in place of the Mana Gem one, and the Molten armor Glyph

Will I keep Pveing as Frost? Yes Ive been Frost probably since ive started my mage about 3.5 years ago.....I leveled Frost, and once 70 I eventually respecced to the PVE frost( water ele and meditation..it was honestly....too much mana). Then, shortly before I got my T5, I specced to Arcane/Frost (40/0/21) which included rotations of 3 (the original) Arc Blasts ,3 Frostbolts, and had cold snap and icy veins and 225% frostcrits. Before the time of dummies was the time of DR. BOOM. I was playing around with just spamming Arc Blast... and omg 3k dps... wow.. I did this on the last day of BC talents on trash in THE EYE (with raid buffs) 4K DPS!
Honestly, the best spec I have ever played (having my T5) before Lich King talents since they had destroyed Arcane/Frost 40/0/21 by:
1. Changing Arcane Blast drastically.... into crap( the 1st change, not the 2nd one)
2. Moving the talent in arcane 'Spell Power" to a tier 10 talent (You really cant get it as frost...anymore)
3. Changing the ghost hit or unpartially resistable frostbolts (I forget if they had, yet but they will anyways).
4. Nerfing 2/5 T5 Tirisfall Regalia ( from +20% on Arc Blast ----->>> to a mere +5%). Very angry about this decision, I respecced to full Pve Arcane ( my guild was on Illidan at that time) eh it was ok... not as good as Arc/Frost though.... had lots of haste(I had no haste on my arcane/frost gear set.. it was all crit which i switched to haste as full arcane and that Netherwind presense talent was pretty nice too) I remember..and relatively mana inefficient(I used the 1 arc blast 1 Arcbar , missles on buff rotation) This was a drastic change since my dps over 1 minute had literally went downhill from 1800(arc frost) to 1600(arcane)

Does Frost need to be Fixxed? yes I'm really not gonan go into much detail about this... it just needs a serious drastic change. Perma W/E? maybe.... Brain Freeze change...yep Deep Freeze for PVE..ohya.. Scaling.... HELL YES

And Lastly... NAMING YOUR WATER ELEMENTAL?!!! FUCK YA
