I'm sure there are plenty of us that could do well over 5k with no CL, but what does that prove? It is still an increase of DPS to put CL in your rotation. The point here is that if he needed only 50 dps more to hit the 4500 mark then adding CL to a rotation to where it did not previously exist would be an instant fix to the problem.
He did say he was hit capped but his armory doesn't reflect this which leaves me wondering if he has hit gear swapped out for some reason or is just misinformed on how much he needs.. But then I check the WWS he linked and noticed he didn't miss a single cast which pretty much answers that question.
Finally the length of the fight wouldn't gimp his DPS that much, I know because I'm used to around 3:30 Patchwerks and I still put out around 5400 DPS.
I'm sticking with CL on this one while you wait for better gear which obviously improves DPS on its own.
