I also think our threat stats (AP, crit, haste, armor piercing, hit, expertise, block value) all need to scale with our defensive stats completely on their own. Each point of AP a DPS class gets they have not only other talents that increases its effectiveness, but other stats that do as well. Tanks generally don't have either, and until that's rectified we'll continue to scale worse than DPS classes.
Could you perhaps be more specific in terms of actual abilities or could you give an example of what you mean? You state that our DPS is going to get worse the further into the expansion we get and that you would like to see things like AP scale with defensive stats. Could you perhaps clarify this? A tank's job is revolves around TPS, not DPS. While tanks can DPS at a somewhat healthy rate, the bottom line is that we are still built around TPS. Saying that each point of AP a DPS class gets is more effective from talents and other stats while a prot warrior gets neither is somewhat vague. A tank could have higher AP which is more effective due to higher expertise since he is getting dodged and parried less just as a DPS class will.

You are right, there currently is no need for modification of OT threat generation. That discussion is operating under the premise of possible boss mechanics in the future comparable to those of a Voidreaver or Gurtogg Bloodboil where OT threat is essential. As stated before, in a fight like that the loss of Revenge and Enrage could handicap a warrior in comparison to a DK, Druid, or Paladin. What would you like to see adjusted on the "back end"?

Try mousewheel for your heroic strike for the time being.
