Thanks for stopping by.

IF POSSIBLE - THIS post SHOULD BE MOVED TI WHATEVER FORUM YOU THINK APPLIES
__I'm not even a member - have already acquired one infraction, and am about to add another: Hijacking aTthread, but I've been unable to figure out a way around it. I'm confused (quite possibly, not Elitist Jerks material) and hope you will forgive me for dumping this here. (I welcome an alternate approach; something I could/should have done - through existing channels or policies - rather than hijack this thread to contact you)
__I have Asperger's Sydroms (a sub set of Autism) and process information differently than many. I hope you will either answer - or direct me to answers- , to my questions/comments:
__1 - I am trying to look around these boards to learn a bit more. I was unable to see if your Notice of Infractions were repliable. If so, I was unable to find the reply function. From that, I conclude that these infractions are NOT to be responded to? If so - my main question:
__How is it useful to point out an error - (on a "public form" area, no less) - pointing out an infraction, and not allowing discussion? While I would sympathize that many users might, indeed, abuse that open ness and misuse these boards -(out of igorance or lazyiness) to not even allow the mechanism for discussion (give and take - spelled "r - e - p - l - y". ) is an OXYMORON. Unless discussion of these infractions is allowed elsewhere (and I am too new and/or clueless to have sucessfully navigated to it), it is absurd to chastize others without offering a chance to rebut. Moreoverd it is illogical* to post it in a public area. If you're not going to extend their right to explore the issue, you are denying the opportunity to engage in open discussion.
__2 - I came to this board to find out where I could find a slash command for unequip (I have been unable to find it on other sites). My understanding of the "reply to 10 posts first" puts me in an odd position of having to clutter up your boards with perhaps vapid replies, just to get to my 10 posts, so I can post my original question. While I truly admire the policy of forcing member to get involved, by having to comment on 10 posts, wouldn't it be more efficient to force members to READ 10 posts - but not to reply unless they had something to add. Doesn't forcing us to Post a Reply, rather than simply read the thread, encourage excessess and add, at least to some extent, pointless, redundant or uneccesary replies, thus adding to a problem I belive your policies are designed to correct? Is this assumption / interpretation correct?__
__3 - My specific infration was asking a priest question in a non priest board. If you had a reply function, I would have asked this question there (the proper forum). But finding myself forced to hijack this thread and ask here "If I had simply ended my post with a "good job" comment - and not added "does something like this for a pirest exist? would I still have received an infraction?__
__4 - One of the tings I could not find while initially perusing this board, concerns your laudible policy of encouraging readers to search for an existing answer before posting. I wish more people would do this. But as the volume of archives increases, and the unasked questions decrease, how does one determine how much time should be spent researching a question, before concluding I have done my "due diligence" - and post a question? Are there any criteria for this?
__ Just a comment here, but the name of your site could not be more perfect and accurate. It seems to me that you act very much as a sterotypical Elitist Jerk. Its a pretty ingenious mechanism - allows you to pretty much do what you want (as Elitist Jerks do, I think?) without having any accountability. Kudos. (Note: While this may seem like false praise on my part, I really DO appreciate your name, this board, what I think you are trying to create here, although I wonder if some of the policies you are invoking to further this laudible goal, might sometimes throw out the baby with the bathwater, and you might lose an opportunity for responses / questions / whatever, that are worth pursuing, but might otherwise not be posted on your boards.__
