Well if we are discussing the nerf here, what I would *like* to happen, is Blizzard taking the chance of the nerf to nerf mostly leather setups. Instead of 10% flat nerf for example could be:
- Imp Berserker stance - 10% STR increase instead of AP. its a pretty hefty nerf (even for plate wearers) - equal to as much as 5% of our AP (300-450 AP in raids depending on your buffs). Its a 2.5-4% nerf to dps as it is.
- AttT - buffed to 5 ranks - giving extra ~150 AP for plate, 100 ap for leather setups. Lessens the nerf to ~2-3.5%.
- 2h Specialization - Switched with Trauma. In general with full raid buffs its a 6% damage nerf which combined with the other changes should give about same effect as TG nerf.
However the changes have positive side effects:
- They balance plate against leather almost completely. Still a higher ilvl leathers can be better, but at same quality of itemization plate should pull slightly ahead.
- They give access to trauma for Fury warriors , or alternatively some useful Utility. It can be handy when not running with Feral etc. Some nice utility (and no it doesnt really "nerfs" arms utility because as it is Trauma in arms spec is pretty much useless - If you dont have feral, you are STILL better off going fury for rampage, then trauma - unless they really rehaul that, Trauma will be a redundant buff). If you dont need Trauma it opens up possibilities of getting heroic fury, imp zerker rage, imp cleave etc in a pve build - having 3 "flavor" points to go around is nice in my book and allows for some tuning.
