Agreed it was lucky, but I have had some discussions with the guild for this record I might be getting one or two Tricks of the Trade and a new Mage after that fight is going to hook me up with focus magic for the fight. I also blew my heroism a bit too soon which explains something below (I fudged up and used it at 75% as opposed to 55%.

I am going to do this in the next two days as I do the dailies (I didn't feel it was worth 300g to fix what amounts to about 15 SP which I can do for free in a couple days)

This is where I fudged up. I tried to double pot and failed so I only got about 5 seconds of the haste pot i popped right when I got into combat. I was thinking for next time using speed at the beginning and wild magic on heroism. The other possibility is double speed or double wild magic.

You can also grind with some 'bastard' method to boost up your dps : i generally try to finish with a CL (no travel time) and a shock (instant) when the boss is very low hp rather than sending a LB which usually lands on an already dead body. A 5000 extra dmg is still a 35 dps upgrade on a 2'20 fight.

I could try this. Also I think next week when we get our good DpS in and I hero at the right time we will probably do it even faster.

I will get focus magic from now on, I might even get a power infusion. There was another elemental shaman who would volunteer to do that for me to ultimately win Patchwerk. We are good friends and often cooperate on stuff like this. I really appreciate this help because I just want to squeeze the hell out of what's possible before 3.1
