All of your questions have already been addressed. I recommend you stop looking at sites like wowhead and MMO/max dps for your gearing advice and instead spend time reading our think tank wiki and these threads. It's in there.

Hey all! I am new to posting, but I have read around on the site for a while.

I am currently in a debate with a fellow elemental shaman about glyphs. I am currently using Lavaburst, Flameshock and Flametongue Major glyphs. My DPS is around 3500-4000, usually not too bad. His is around 2000... He has similar gear, but he is still replacing pieces and doesn't have his full T7.5. He uses the Lightingbolt (or is it CL) glyph, and said when he switched to the flametongue, he LOST about 300 DPS.

From some of the earlier theorycrafting that I read, I saw that some ppl teetered between the Flametongue and the Lightning Glyph, and I didn't see a lot of agreement on which was best. I also read that the flame spells were one of the "main" spells of the elemental shaman, but recount shows that LB makes up about 40%, even as a filler.

So... With good gear, and a solid rotation, which glyph would be preferred?

The World of Warcraft Armory (if anyone is interested)

I usually use a different neckpiece, but I just got that one to try out and I will be getting 10 man Maly neck this week... and who knows, possibly 25 man... there's a long line. :P

Also, I have another generic question. In some cases there are differentiations on what is "best in slot," and where to compare it. Anyone have any ideas of where to find out this information, because Maxdps.com isn't always reliable.
