Three key issues I'd look for:
(a) Make sure you are chaining absolutely as closely as possible (e.g., start your SS right in your latency period from the previous, rather than waiting until you are completely finished with the previous cast).
(b) Contrary to what a poster earlier said, you should only wait for an ES to come off cooldown when it has 0.5 secs or less before it does. Otherwise, squeeze that next SS in. The math on this one can be found earlier in the thread.
(c) Some people have a habit of moving around or jumping a little bit while they fight (sort of a pvp reflex I think). Make sure you are dead still (you almost certainly are if you are timing your shots, but I've seen this enough I thought I'd mention it).

I'm sure, though it seems that CotW has also been on auto-cast since I got this character. That's better to time manually I could presume?
Yes, preferably during heroism/bloodlust.
I've also tried trap dancing, but the problem persists even when I don't do it. Trap dancing isn't my cup of tea just yet. I guess I should create some macros for it (I read about creating a macro that casts Raptor Strike or something similar when placing a trap).
Yeah, my comment was actually a caution against trap dancing. You've got to be pretty good at it before it does better than the alternative.
I'm using the AP flask (180AP, was it?) and AGI food.
Yep, right stuff there.
As I said, I noticed that CotW is on auto-cast, which it shouldn't be, since the timing can be really bad this way? And I haven't even thought of a haste potion, if that's what you are referring to
Yes, I mean a haste potion -- it *is* called "Potion of Speed", though
If the fight is short enough, you can stay hasted a large chunk of the duration (bloodlust + rapid fire + potion of speed).
Do also check that your pet's focus dump and special attacks are being used. And make sure you've got Kill Command macro'd into your Steady Shot.
Okey, I'm a bit short! 7.93% or something.. I have Slime Stream Bands waiting in my bags.. Just need the frigging staff from KT
Because hit transfers to your pet only in whole %'s, this means that your pet is only at 7% hit. For SV this isn't a *huge* dps loss, but it's worth fixing.
I can't recall if you can see my glyphs from the armory. I'm using Glyph of Serpent Sting, Glyph of Steady Shot and Glyph of Improved Aspect of the Hawk, so the Steady Shot casting time is usually 1.5sec according to Quartz. Then again, as far as I know it doesn't show fractions, so it could be 1.58sec as well?
Your glyphs are fine. Those are the same I use.
