This is borderline whining. I'm not saying you are or aren't right, but this post doesn't really seem to contribute to the discussion beyond "our DPS is low and we might start losing raid spots", which isn't really very constructive.

Until then, it's nothing but chicken-littling running around. If you have data, post it to Blizzard. If you don't, well, you're like the rest of us: nothing to do but wait and see.

The time for 3.1 feedback is well-past -- we're in the final stages (or as I sometimes think of them: death throes) of the PTR. At this point it's waiting on data and getting feedback in for point patches or 3.2.

I might have missed it but I didnt see anyone talking about Sunwell.....

I'm not a huge fan of simulations either, but every boss test I did on the PTR I never saw a mage in the top 5 and I never saw a scorching mage in the top 8. On Hodir, XT, and Ignis (the only 3 I did 25s) the gulf between the top lock and top mage on 25-man normal on the runs I was on averaged 400dps and was as high as 1150 dps (with felguard). Given we have no unique raid utility left, many of us are concerned this signfies a return to the TBC order or worse.

My experiences may have been slanted, but before spouting how everything people is saying is BS I'd suggest you look at the PTR parses and WWS reports .... because all the ones I saw in the PTR feedback looked fairly consistent with the runs I was on.

The one thing I will say is - as mages - we will start out the worst all around in 3.1 but the situation does improve some with our T8 ... because at our initial health levels there are raid-wide AoEs that everyone else can survive that 1-shot mages unless youre in PvP gear or using mana shield.

And yes 3.1 is here (probably Tuesday) but 3.2 is likely a long way off and I'm hoping people will be more active in sharing their WWS reports with Blizzard and not so complacent about being relegated to sub-hybrid dps with no utility.
