The crux of the matter here is that everything about you - your spec, your rotation, and yes, the individual sitting in that chair right now - sucks. You are what some folks would call "a terribad," quite possibly beyond redemption. You are the kind of person who comes to our forums and says, "Hey guys, I won't use a spec that does actual DPS and I won't use a rotation that makes any sense. Why can't I do any damage?

The answer is quite simple: you lack the capacity to play this game well, or believe yourself to lack this capacity. You are terrible at WoW and either refuse to see it or are not bright enough to pick up the difference. I'd say I'm sorry to be the one to break this to you, but I kind of get off on this sort of thing.

I'm trying out a weird hybrid, 0/38/33: The World of Warcraft Armory

My Gear is pre-Ulduar, 4xT7.5 + Turning Tide, maxxed on Hit. Glyphs are LT, Conflag and Incin.

I'm not that great at switching pet targets, so I'm trying to minimize the pet (imp) while trying to maximize personal damage output. Forget about Affliction - I seem to suck at that spec too

Even so, the rotation for this spec (like the blueprint 0/40/31) isn't all that easy. LT, Incin, Corr, CoA, Immo, Incin Spam, and at <35%, switch to Soul Fires. Right?

Am I losing DPS by making the wrong opening moves on trash? I generally Immolate, then Incin Spam until dead. I usually don't bother with Corr/CoA on trash because they don't last long.

I have trouble keeping my overall dps (trash and Bosses) above 3k in Ulduar. Is this unusual? I hear about 4-6k dps and I think, omg, I must suck, because I'm trying really hard and can't seem to get anywhere.

I see theorycraft numbers for all lock specs from 6.2-6.7k, and I realize this would be "perfect" performance, standing still, etc. But it's humbling to see such low average numbers. I'm desparate for tips. The only classes I can beat regularly on damage meters are Prot Warriors. thanks!
