I am new to WoW completely, level 20 w00t w00t, and I just had a couple questions using immolate as an example
Immolate at the highest rank...
stock(without gear or talents)
burst 460
dot 785
stacking stats(look below the numbers for explanation)
burst 987.7
dot 1543.9895
not stacking stats
burst 967
dot 1485.35
If you start from the top of the talent tree you get +6% damage over time bonus, in this does that make 832.1 the new stock damage and the 30% you gain from improved immolate go off of that percent or does the percent added always get the improvement from the stock 785?
dot gets 6% from Aftermath
dot and burst get 30% from improved immolate
dot and burst get 15% from emberstorm
dot and burst get 300 damage from fire & brimstone if you have 2000sp (how exactly is this calculated? would that be 300 actual damage or something different?)
does the damage that you get add on to the actual spell damage and then relate to some formula that generates actual damage or is it a plain drawn number of extra added on damage?
if you need more numbers or a better explanation please let me know.
*sorry for the double post*
