Nice job totally missing the point. If you'd read even the first half of the first post you'd know that we're discussing the situation where there isn't a warrior tank applying the debuff.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I've been playing mostly rogues for about three years and I've never found much reason to use EA. It's value in pvp is highly questionably as any rogue that has 5 combo points is going to dump them into an Eviscerate, S&D, Kidney Shot or Rupture probably before even giving any thought to EA itself. If you've got a build that pukes out tons of points constantly, maybe, but I would still put those points into an Eviscerate even if everything else is good or on cooldown. Most pvp fights are just to short to waste time with EA.
As for pve and raid content it raises threat, and pulls from the tank. Wanna try tanking in leather gear? Go right ahead, I'm not paying the repair bills for your group.
Edit: I don't play tanks and I especially don't play warriors, but I thought Sunder was primarily used for generating massive threat to assist the warrior with tanking?
