That's probably one of the dumbest ideas I've read on these forums. As a bonus, it comes in the form of a shitty blog-like post that contributes nothing useful. If you are so terrible that you can't manage basic soul fire weaving, you're probably too bad to play a warlock.

Switching to Meta/Ruin (from 41/30) has gotten me better DPS as a semi-geared warlock with only ~500 haste. DPS increase is probably due to good initial burst AOE damage.
However, I'm contemplating taking decimation out of the meta/ruin build completely and moving those two points over to Aftermath (+6% Immolate) and use Drain Soul + meta on executes. Basically just changing the "finisher" yet still retaining decent dps and raid utility.
Not saying I will get better numbers, just that this is an alternative for some who are not fans of (or unable to execute) soul fire weaving. I'm assuming the result will be a less impressive Drain Soul tick (compared to affliction) compensated by a more aggressive Immolate.
