I am going to have to unfortunately disagree--which is disappointing because I found arcane fun. But I tried every trick. I spec'ed IA. I used wards. I had a pocket disc priest (we run with 2) shielding me when cooldowns allowed for it. I timed my cooldowns with burn phases. Then I got 4-piece T8 and switched to fire/TTW. My DPS jumped up considerably. I compete for the top spots on many more fights. So both RAWR and anecdotal evidence is telling me Fire/TTW wins.

Sorry, but i did the same as you and evidence tells me that Arcane wins. (Note: can't tell about General because is the only boss that i never tried in Arcane)

The problem is, many mages haven't quite grasped or mastered how to do this properly, and as such, their DPS tends to fall significantly behind FFB and FB mages.

In any case this is just a game. Some get better result with FB? enjoy it!. Some get better results with Arcane? enjoy it!.
