Hi there! First time for me posting here, but have been a reader for quite some time. Really is a great place!

So, to make a short story long:

Basically, I have 15 days played on 80 on this priest of mine, and it's my first character I heal with. I've been Disc / Shadow for pretty much the entire time, and I'm guessing that's what's causing problems. Right now, we're a bunch of RL mates laughing our way through Ulduar 10. This is our second reset in there, and we're about to start learning Mimiron, so I feel the need for some input unless we're going to hit the brick wall.

Basically, we're two full-time healers, me and a resto druid. We both have decent gear (a mix of 200/213/219 gear). We run with two pala tanks, one with 40k and the other with 35k health buffed. Now, I'm really uncomfortable healing as holy, and I'm guessing it's due to my lack of experience with both the spec and healing in general. The druid and I manage to duo-heal Razor, XT, Kolo, Auriaya, and Thorim, with me being disc. We need to bring in a third healer to manage the rest (Ignis, Assembly, Hodir, Freya).

Now, I've tried going Holy a few attempts here and there, but I find I simply do my job crappy with the spec. With disc I generally do 40-50% more healing than the druid (absorbs included), but with holy I'm "just on par". I feel I have much more control as disc, too. For instance, we were unable to get Hodir down with me as Holy, but when I changed to Disc we got him down on the first attempt.

Now, based on this, I have a couple of small questions:

Should it really be that I find raid healing much simpler and more controlled with disc than with holy? I'm guessing I shouldn't, but maybe it should actally be the case for some fights?
Am I gimping us a lot by not being a good holy healer? By that I mean: if I become better, should we be able to duo-heal the fights we currently aren't, and will we have a much simpler time on the other bosses? Or is that unrealistic with our gear and tanks?
Is there any post that has a few good tips for holy healing, as in how to best utilize CoH, FH, PoM, and PoH, especially for the Ulduar fights with heavy and spiky raid damage? I tried searching and scanning this thread but failed horribly.
