I use port as:

for any boss fight with "fall damage" and just teleport to safety.

For bosses with "pull" techniques like cynagosia or the 1st in occulus, to teleport back to safe spot

For bosses where mvoement is necessary and getting back to your spot is a must like heigan, i use port to go back to platform after dance

i use it as a kite technique for freya lashers
