I play a warrior, and im trying to tweak my dps, attemting to decide what is more beneficial as arms. I've heard mixed things about stacking armor pen vs. Str, as Str is buffed by kings etc. With the newest buff armor pen some people are saying it is better to stack than Str even with kings buff. I guess the question is, what is the armor pen cap. My theory is that i have too much armor pen and need to be replacing that with Str to increase my dps. Im currently mace spec, with roughly 28% armor pen on the tooltip and in battle stance, with the target all sundered up that puts me at rougly 73% armor pen without Grim Toll proc. When GT procs it gives me about 50% armor pen thus wasting armor pen, since i assume you can not reduce enemy armor past 100%, (No negative armor pen.) This is where iam having trouble, when GT procs it puts me well over the cap. Some people have told me to not count on a trinket proc but when it procs im wasting mass amounts of armor pen where i could have strength. I guess i just need someone to enlighten me on the way armor pen really works and what the caps are and such.
