Yes. And hit above poison cap is not "Wasted", just less efficient - and sword spec benefits more from hit than most others.

It really isn't - your finishing moves can't be dodged (surprise attacks).

nd one last thing, the spreadsheet shows an increase in DPS when I gem my boots with only red gems. But that can't be correct since my meta gem doesn't work without a blue gem.

Your spreadsheet obviously assumes that you've activated the meta, as well you should be.
